The hotels were amazing, the transportation was perfect and the guides for the tours were an absolute necessity to even begin to understand what we were seeing. My wife and 8 year old and I recently went to Egypt for 7 days of travel after my wife's conference.
We arranged our travel through Egypt via: Aladdin Abo Elhaggag A. Ahmed.
I was a little nervous taking a tour with someone who I knew nothing about (my wife set up the trip).
The trip was top notch from bottom to top. Aladdin was a wonderful person to spend time with and was extremely knowledgable about all the sites we went to. At the sites he was not able to accompany us into (guides are not allowed into the Valley of the Kings/Queens tombs) he had pictures from inside and gave us detailed descriptions of what to look for and the significance of different things.
Aladdin was outstanding with our 8 year old. He did a great job of keeping her involved in the trip and talking about the sites at a level which she understood and was engaged in.
Our accomodations on the trip were outstanding. Our hotels were over the top in terms of rooms, staff and grounds. Our travel between Luxor and Cairo was seemless and the guide that Aladdin had arranged for us in Cairo was outstanding (Iman, whom we would also highly recommend).
the restaurants that he took us to were great too. lots of local color and very good.
having Aladdin do the leg work for us in setting up and planning this trip was well worth the investment.
He is outstanding and I recommend him without hesitation.

My husband and I travelled to Egypt this June (08). We were there for two weeks. We flew in and out of Cairo, but also visited Alexandria, Giza and Luxor. While in Luxor Alladin was our tour guide. He was fabulous. He was friendly, prepared, flexible -- had color pictures and photographs and really made the sites come alive. My husband and I travel a lot and he is the best tour guide we have encountered.
We highly recommend using Alladin, and while we only used him for tour guide services and transportation within Luxor, the next time we go back we'll use him for everything (hotel, transportation and tour guides in whatever cities visit). We are hoping to go back next summer and bring our two older boys.

The weather on our return was typically English with lots of rain which takes a little getting used to after 40 degree heat and blazing sunshine! To whom it may concern . My wife Lesley and I spent our October Honeymoon in Egypt . The first couple of days were spent in Cairo where we visited the Museum, various Pyramids and spent a couple of days seeing Cairo and its locales by ourselves.
We then flew to Luxor and joined the Crise Boat where we met Aladdin for the first time. We had just arrived when he told me we had to be ready to go at 5 AM the next morning. I thought he was joking but he was serious and I am so glad he was. We arrived at the Valley of Kings early enough that we were ahead of all the other tour parties, we visted several of the tombs and we were leaving just as the place started to get more crowded, with small lines starting form at the more popular tombs. We were also out of the valley before the Sun became too hot.
Once we were all back on the boat we started our cruise. We cruised up to the Aswan Dam and back to Luxor over the period of a week. The sights were incredible as were the tours. During the week also got to know Aladdin really well. On the last night, when we got back to Luxor, Aladdin took several of us who wanted to a small restaurant he personally uses, for an authentic local meal. The food, A mixed grill, was incredible. We also went for a Coffee and Sheesha (Bubble pipe) at a local Coffee Shop. We enjoyed a glimpse of the real Luxor life rather than just the tourist sights.
The last 4 Days were spent at the hotel on Crocodile Island. During those 4 days we enjoyed a really relaxing time with a few rides into Luxor and a coule of short tours. Aladdin had a couple of days before his next cruise and joined us one evening for a Kerkadi (Hibiscus Tea).
I can in all honesty recommend Aladdin Abo elHaggag as a First Class Guide who goes above and beyond to make sure his clients want to return. We certainly shall.
